Morgan and Ryan’s Adventures
This new project of ours is the culmination of our love for the outdoors, traveling, overlanding, hiking, camping, photography, exploration, art and each other. Follow along with us to see where we’ve been, where we go, how we do what we do and what we do it with. Life is an adventure, this is ours.
A guy: This is Ryan, the guy from a guy a girl and a trail. He’s a hands on kind of guy, with a damn impressive trajectory in the automotive industry and straight on through to the stars. Now he’s in aerospace and the only car he works on is his 4Runner. He’s a huge fan of the 4Runner. He’s also just huge. A two time Ironman, he loves to mountain bike, hike, get out and get going. He’s down for anything and his sense of adventure is contagious. He’s a problem solver and while he has never been a Boy Scout, he is always prepared.
He’s the calm to my storm and my shelter from the rain. Sometimes literally. He’s about as manly as they come but I see his soft side and it makes him the best man in the world. He has a wonderful eye for beauty and the delicate, fragile places in our world. His artistic sense and incredible eye for the details drew him to photography. While we’re on the trail he takes approximately 1 photo every 3 minutes. I did the math. He’s my everything, my counterweight, my other half. And while he always tells me I’m his guy, well, he’s my guy. -Morgan
A Girl: This is Morgan, the girl from a guy a girl and a trail. She’s a designer by trade and a dreamer by nature. An artist, an author, a musician and a multilingual world traveler. She’s a wine connoisseur, a cocktail aficionado, a lover of hockey and all things automotive. She has super powers, and, fun fact, she has hand built a wooden boat. She’s even a certified archery instructor. Small in stature but larger than life, she lights up a room and leaves a wake of smiles everywhere she goes. This gorgeous little blue eyed blonde bombshell is the love of my life.

Morgan’s insatiable sense of wanderlust and her love of writing are what drove her interest in us starting on this new adventure together. She is not the photographer, which oftentimes results in her being in the photography. -Ryan
A Trail: This is our 4Runner, an extensively modified 2011 Toyota 4Runner Limited built by Ryan to be our do it all adventure vehicle. Outfitted with everything from satellite communication to propane, running water to solar power, even a forced air tent heater and an onboard refrigerator, this go-anywhere-do-anything rig is very often the base camp for our trails and the means of our travels. The 4Runner is a member of the family.
